Chelsea Anne Fischer

Chelsea is a faithful wife, a loving mother of three, a homemaker and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She is also a founding member of  "THE GATHERING", a small band of disciples from around the world who gather weekly, or more, learning how to please their Heavenly Father everyday and in every way. She has a page on here because her immense love for Christ and His Bride compels her to write the things she receives from Him, "that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ"    Eph.4;14-15

To Live is Christ

BE NOT DECEIVED

If we think we can praise God on Sunday and the rest of the week fill our minds with garbage; the music we listen too, the shows we watch, the news we obsess with, the books we read, etc. Don't expect a renewal of YOUR mind, don't expect joy and peace walking after the Lord, don't expect great break throughs from strongholds of sin. If YOU give the enemy a foot hold, he'll make your life a rollercoaster of misery!

Watch and be mindful of who and what you align yourself with! You can't come along side the enemy and then blame others, your church, your parents, your spouses, God or the Devil for YOUR choices. I've been there, exactly in that place. Fix your mind on what God TELLS YOU TOO and the enemy has no stronghold over your life. I've been depression and anxiety free since the end of December 2018 - the longest amount of time I think I've ever not had an episode. Not to say this is the only factor but it's a major part of it. We must believe what God says, and He says with our earthly lives, be a LIVING SACRIFICE, be HOLY. Think about that. It's not to earn your salvation, or to be granted what you already have as new creation, you have all you need in Christ, but IT IS what grows us in the Lord, knowing Him more and becoming more like Him.

(Philippians 4:8-9)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

(Romans 12:1-2)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

(Colossians 3:1-11)

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

WEAKNESS, SICKNESS

&

DEATH

IT IS NOT ABOUT

"YOU"

If you want security and rest, the peace of God in your life, confidence - one thing you have to do is stop trying to be a "somebody" and just be nothing. Yes, resort to being "nothing"! Get your eyes off YOURSELF. Make it about the ONE, the only ONE who is worthy! The flesh seeks to make of ourselves a "somebody", but God seeks to make us into the image OF HIS SON. Make it about HIM - NOT yourself! Receive your satisfaction in the identity of Christ and who He is to you, what He has done for you, not the other way around. You can impress people but you can't impress God. And ultimately our hearts should be about pleasing Him and leading others to Him and not about ourselves. Be faithful to God, make it about Him, and you will experience His peace and rest on a daily basis. You will have a solid ground to walk on, you will come to know the Lord more and more. The self life must be put to death.

(1 Cor. 15:31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.) Paul gave up all self-ambition in order to serve Christ and His body. He experienced the grace of God in a measure most never will.

Sometimes our sicknesses and weaknesses are not due to an unprovoked attack from the Devil but due to our own flesh; our own selfishness, lack of regard for others, our disregard for honoring the death of the Lord, not making it about Him, not loving our brothers and sisters as Christ has loved us. Paul says this is why a number of you are sick and weak and have died. It is the discipline of the Lord so that we will NOT be condemned along with the world. God heals His children, absolutely, He also disciplines them..

“Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment. Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.” (1 Corinthians 11:28-29)
